Helping Children with Autism Package
The Department of Families, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs administers the
Helping Children with Autism package.
To be eligible for the Early Intervention Funding a child must be accessed by a Autism Advisor before their sixth birthday. Eligible families may access up to $12,000 in funding under the early intervention conponent, which can be used until the child’s seventh birthday to a maximum of $6,000 per financial year.
Up to 35% of a child’s early intervention funding maybe used to purchase resources. Resources must be assessed by an Early Intervention Panel Provider as being integral to the child’s therapy. The resource must support the child’s Individual Service Plan. Families cannot purchase resources prior to their treating Panel Provider approving the resource.

Discuss with your Panel Provider if you think See-n-Speak Visual Supports will compliment the Early Intervention your child is receiving. Your Panel Provider must approve the resources prior to the purchase of See-n-Speak Visual Supports.
